AAVAA received a grant from the Government of Canada to fund its efforts to create technology to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities.
AAVAA, an innovator in brain-computer interface for accessibility, hearing technology and AR/VR solutions, announced its receipt of a $1.3 million grant from the Government of Canada.
This funding, provided through the Accessible Technology Program (ATP), will support AAVAA’s ongoing efforts to create groundbreaking technology that enhances accessibility for individuals with disabilities across Canada and globally.
The Government of Canada’s commitment to advancing accessible technology aligns with AAVAA’s mission of breaking down barriers and empowering individuals with disabilities. The newly awarded grant will fuel AAVAA’s continued research and development initiatives within brain-computer interface, allowing the company to further expand its portfolio of innovative accessible products that transform brain and bio signals to access a new era of human device control.

AAVAA created a proprietary brain-computer interface technology that enables devices to understand and react to user needs, with subtle eye and facial movements. The technology has five patents filed over 20 countries and was developed by a team of neuroscientists and entrepreneurs that are transforming brain and bio signals to access a new era of human device control. Their diverse range of products spans from assistive devices to consumer applications, each designed with a commitment to ease of use, functionality, and affordability.
With the new grant, AAVAA aims to accelerate their research and development efforts, ensuring that their products remain at the forefront of accessibility innovation.
