The Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) will hold its 2019 AuDACITY Convention on November 14-16 at the Gaylord National Resort & Conference Center in National Harbor, Md, which is about 7 miles away from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). This year’s theme, Move the Needle, relects the need for practices to respond to the hearing health needs of older adults with quality hearing healthcare.
According to ADA, AuDacity 2019 is packed with sessions highlighting critical issues for audiologists who work with older adults. The conference program begins after a day of lobbying at the Capitol, with the Opening Reception in the convention hall at 5:30 PM on Thursday, November 14.
General sessions on Friday, November 15, are designed to address the link between hearing loss and dementia, marketing to aging consumers, and the new “longevity economy”, with a consumer market of older adults whose demands and expectations around their aging differ from those of previous generations. The day will end with a panel session on aging. The AuDACITY Exhibit Hall, open Thursday-Saturday (see times below in blue), will feature some of the hearing care industry’s most exciting new products and services.
Saturday, November 16, features a wide variety of clinical, technical, and practice-management sessions designed to advance your expertise in patient care and elevate your business to new levels of success. Sunday features a variety of workshops (see ADA Schedule for details and special paid events).
About 10 minutes from Reagan International Airport and standing on the shores of the Potomac River, the Gaylord National Resort & Conference Center offers convenient access to many of Maryland’s most beloved attractions, including the Capital Wheel and MGM National Harbor. There also are plenty of things to explore right under the roof of the hotel. From the 19-story glass atrium overlooking the river and full-service spa to seven distinct restaurants, you can experience it all. The Pose Lounge & Nightclub is the hotel’s rooftop bar with stunning views of National Harbor.
