LAFAYETTE, Ind—The Audiology Foundation of America (AFA), in conjunction with ReSound, is now accepting applications for “ReSound University for AuD Students.” This special educational program for AuD students and faculty will be held May 14-17, 2008, at ReSound’s headquarters in Bloomington, Minn. Second- and third-year residential AuD students, as well as clinical faculty members from AuD programs, may apply. Attendees will learn about audiology issues and technology, hearing aid market trends, real software applications, career and professional issues, manufacturing, and counseling best practices. Attendees will also make their own hearing aids, and meet and network with other students and professionals.
Applications are due April 1, and 45 applicants will be chosen to participate in the program. Click here for the application form, rules, and more information.
The AFA and ReSound report that they have jointly developed this program to further their commitment to fostering the education and training of audiologists. A second “ReSound University for AuD Students” program will be held in December 2008.
