Avada Audiology and Hearing Care Centers Minnesota recently promoted Anna (Cunningham) Hoiland, AuD, to the position of director of audiology.
As an Avada clinical audiologist, Hoiland has performed diagnostic hearing evaluations and provided rehabilitative assistance to people with hearing loss through the fitting of hearing instruments; vestibular testing and rehabilitative therapy for people suffering from dizziness and balance disorders; and, counseling and assistance for people with tinnitus disorders, says the company.
Hoiland joined Avada in 2002 after receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication disorders – audiology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, according to the company.
She is a Minnesota-licensed audiologist, having received the certificate of clinical competency as an audiologist from the American Speech Language Hearing Association in 2003. Hoiland completed her doctor of audiology degree from Salus Univeristy (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry) in March 2009, says the company.
Avada Audiology & Hearing Care, Louisville, Ky, operates 35 locations with more than 40 employees in the metropolitan Twin Cities, central and northeastern Minnesota, and western Wisconsin. Avada nationwide operates more than 280 hearing care centers in 20 states.
