Several Beltone network members were recognized at the recent International Hearing Society (IHS) Awards Gala for their achievements in hearing care including Roberta Miller, senior director of Dispenser Relations, who received the IHS Lifetime Achievement Award.

IHS President-Elect and Beltone Brand Ambassador, Michael Andreozzi, a longtime friend of Miller’s, presented her with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her remarkable 60-year career at Beltone and her significant contributions to the hearing industry and involvement as an IHS member.

Leading up to the gala, held Sept. 29, 2023, in Palm Springs, California, Miller was also bestowed a brick bearing her name that will be placed at the new IHS building that was generously gifted to her by members of the Beltone network.

“I was 19 years old when I first started with Beltone and I thank them for everything, it’s my life,” said Miller during her Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech. “This is a wonderful industry. For everybody who is just starting out, I urge them, if you’re happy with it stick with it, because you’re helping people hear better. It’s truly an honor and privilege to receive this award and I thank IHS and everyone for helping the hearing impaired.”

Additional Beltone members were also recognized for their achievements including John F. Dunlop, BC-HIS, who was recognized as a 55-Year IHS All-Star; Amanda Bonner, BC-HIS of Beltone in Huntington, West Virginia was presented with the James P. Lovell Advocacy Award for her accomplishments in advocating for the hearing profession and the deaf; and The Hearing Review Editor Melanie Hamilton-Basich presented Michael Andreozzi, BS, BC-HIS, with The Hearing Review Professional Leadership Award for his success as a ‘change maker’ in the hearing industry.
