Bernafon reports its Brite hearing system has received the Red Dot design award, recognized worldwide for design excellence.
In receiving the Red Dot award Bernafon states the brite is being recognized for its design and technology. This quality seal for exceptional design is awarded annually at the international Red Dot Design Award competition. To win, a product must exhibit a particularly sophisticated and innovative design.
Bernafon reports that at the outset of the brite (Bernafon receiver-in-the ear) development, the company was inspired by the shape and tactile characteristics of soft organic forms, with the intention of producing a hearing device that compliments the individual. Since no hearing instrument is ever completely invisible, Bernafon states it created a device which features an iconic shape drawn from nature, resulting in a distinctive yet discreet design. To complement the functionality of Brite, sources at Bernafon note the company designed the color and surface finish of the device can be paired in numerous combinations to match the user’s particular style, or even mood.
A news release from Bernafon stated Brite utilizes Bernafon’s Lifestyle Profile, designed to allow information about the client’s individual listening needs and priorities to be assessed during the fitting and used throughout the fine-tuning of the device. Brite is reported to feature advanced sound processing with Personalized Audio Navigation™ which extracts relevant environmental information and chooses the most optimal response.
