Members of the Blue Shield Medicare plan in Southern California may soon have access to hearing tests and hearing aids in a new, expanded plan, according to an article in the Associated Press (AP).
The new plan—available during the 2019 Annual Enrollment Period—will allow Blue Shield 65 Plus SM and 65 Plus Choice (HMO) members to get a “routine hearing exam” with no copay as well as access to Vista hearing aids for what Blue Shield calls a “low copay.” Additionally, Medicare Supplement Plan F Extra members will be offered unspecified “hearing aid coverage,” according to the AP article.
