FedEx Ground Package Delivery System Inc will pay a $3.3 million settlement to a group of over 220 deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who were allegedly “turned down for jobs or denied accommodations in violation of federal law,” according to an article in Reuters.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed the lawsuit in 2015 on behalf of the workers; FedEx has denied any wrongdoing, according to the article.
