On June 28 and 29, Phonak, Stäfa, Switzerland, will host its 4th Virtual Audiology Conference with trenowned international experts, including Dr Jace Wolfe, Dr Kevin Munro, Dr David McAlpine, and Dr Anne Marie Tharpe.
In addition to the audiology lectures, the event allows professionals to exchange opinions with other professionals in a chat room during and after live, online meetings.
The conference comprises more than 20 presentations focused on the latest results in audiology, covering topics such as the rehabilitation of hearing loss with Phonak’s nonlinear frequency compression algorithm SoundRecover, APD, binaural processing, and cochlear implants.
Virtual conference participants can gain access from their office, home or hotel as long as they have Iroadband internet access, a headset, and the latest version of Flashplayer installed.
All information and presentation handouts can be downloaded easily, allowing participants to fully concentrate on the presentation without having to transcribe the speeches.
Flexible conference times allow worldwide live meetings, and missed presentations can be watched by accessing recordings. After each presentation, the participants have the opportunity to interact with the presenter, ask questions, or submit comments. A free, accessible forum offers another opportunity to interact with colleagues and audiologists from around the world.
Phonak successfully launched the Virtual Audiology Conference in 2007, aiming to bring audiology professionals worldwide together to help them keep up with the latest scientific and product developments–fast and free of charge. This conference opens the door to the latest expert information to anyone interested.
