Starkey’s new Genesis AI hearing aids have won a 2023 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

This year’s awards competition received a record number of submissions from leading manufacturers across the world, the company says. This Good Design Award marks the tenth product innovation and design award won by Genesis AI since hitting the market.

“Congratulations to the Starkey team for this impressive, international recognition,” says Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich. “Genesis AI not only has outstanding product design, but it’s also the industry’s best performing flagship product on the market. Thanks to the hard work and innovation of our team, Genesis AI continues to be recognized as a cutting-edge product that is turning hearing aids into want-to-wear devices.”

The all-new Starkey Neuro Processor within Genesis AI features advanced processor technology, which mimics the function of the central auditory system through an on-chip Deep Neural Network accelerator. It is not only the smallest processor ever introduced by Starkey, but also the most powerful with six times more transistors. It is also loaded with five times more processor memory in addition to 10 times the amount of system memory.
