On World Hearing Day, Yamaha launched the TW-E5B True Wireless Earbuds as part of its True Sound line, according to an article on the audioXpress Magazine website.
The earbuds were announced, in tandem, with a website “Thinking About Hearing Health” dedicated to educating people about Safe Listening, particularly since hearing loss from listening to loud music at high volumes for extended periods of time.
Since Yamaha re-entered the headphones market in 2019, all their wireless headphones and earbuds have Listening Care technology, that “manages loudness by introducing intelligent equalization at any volume,” making it less likely users will jack up the sound.
The TW-E5B is the newest version of its TW-E3B earbud, which launched in September 2021. The TW-E5B includes the same platform as its predecessor, the Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.2, but now has “improved passive noise isolation,” a “superior microphone array designed to support Qualcomm’s Clear Voice Capture (cVc) technology for improved voice capture,” as well as features like active noise cancellation and consistent voice quality.
